Camporee and Summer camp prep This week

Posted by bdwyer on Mar 27 2023 - 8:55am

This week, our troop will complete the camporee prep. Shopping should be done or planned for menus. Scouts will review what to pack for the camporee. For Summer camp, if your scout is going and has not provided a list of merit badges they intend to earn we need that on Wednesday. Sign up begins on Saturday. Certain merit badges fill quickly and if the list is not provided on Wednesday, we cannot guarentee the scout will have a spot in the merit badge he wants.

Scouts should begin to consider taking on a position of responsibility such as one of the following: Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader, Scriber, Quartermaster, Librarian, Historian, Outdoor Ethics Guide, Order of the Arrow Representative, Troop Guide, Chaplain's Aid, etc. Descriptions of these positions is in the handbook.
